ZENIT thing ... since I mentioned Zenith for the first time, I have not seen lorries Zenith, but encountered rustic dark geen/gold Zenith vehicle near Carisbrook Rd. and charity travel buses (near Waitrose), from which a boy waived to me - at the bus stop.

I think I missed Zenit in the Wikipedia entry, when I did check it, hence "in addition" in my last entry. Interesting how many small mistakes you make, when you try to write about what is not talked about. It' all in the mind!

In online version of AiF (aif.ru) three days ago I found an article about Stalin's dacha in Kuntsevo

with a picture of the pine forest, where we (long after Stalin's death) went skiing in winter as children. There was a unique splendid air in that forest - the main attraction.

The comments to that article contain some interesting facts. It looks like Gorbachev's New Thinking about "obschechelovecheskie tsennosti" is not so new, but a replay of COSMOPOLITANS ideology of Stalin's times. Am I right ?

PS (27 feb.) : Was the first Soviet TV model called KVN ? In Russian letters it's KBH.
Same acronym was used/misused for a University Challenge ( Jeremy Paxman) type of programme, which has quickly deteriorated (KVN for Klub Veselyh i Nahodchivyh).
What KVN for TV stood for I don't know.

The top scan is from the RUSSIAN FORUM, where in two of my posts (13.11.2004 and 27.02.2005) I write Post Scriptum, actually complain, that "K" had not yet apologized for confusing me with another woman (Galina from Israel).

The post below is from K to me dated 27.02.2005 with the apology, which, as I read it now, sounds actually threatening.

Curiously enough, a nice person (a Good Samaritan) lived with his family in Gosport opposite me and I could see "K - House" from my window. Of course, the Gosport man knew nothing of the far-fetched coincidence. One of those things.

Around the same time one prolific member "K" engaged in discussion with me AS IF I WAS another member - Galina (in English font).

{"K" gave me a dubious apology only after repeated reminders.}

That member 'Galina' was a Russian Jewish emigrant from Israel, who went on and on about how she was missing Russia and how she was planning a return to Russia. That was 6-7 years before Lavrov-Livni extraordinary Russia-Israel No-Visa Regime.
